I built this bass Preamp was built for Martin who is a collector of vintage Musical Equipment, he owns many vintage Fender and Ampeg Amps from the 50's & 60's all of which he brings in to me for a checkup / restoration and service before using them .

He wanted a Bass preamp built in the style of the 1950's construction and sound, I based it on a very early Ampeg preamp stage with only two controls, one volume and one treble cut, the tube is a 6SL7 the heater is run with a DC filament power supply for quiet operation and was built with the highest quality parts available as usual.
